Japanese Culture in UBD

Today am gonna talk about the UBD Japanese Culture being held from 11-14th of March at the Chancellor Hall.
Yup...there are many other stuff but for today, I'll focus on the traditions, learning Japanese, places, etc of Japan.
It is not much to say since Japan is most famous on their Manga, Anime, J-pop, Dramas, Technologies...

I'll explain as we go on for the pictures uploaded below. click on picture for enlarge size.

Plasma Tv (Brand: Sony)
They had showed the video of yesterday's event where the members are performing dance on Japan traditions. Too bad, that I wasn't able to attend due to having afternoon class and no transport...anyway, who cares right?!

Map of Japan and Places for Visit in Japan.
Map of Japan - Names of prefectures, towns and cities are labelled. (too bad, all in hiragana.)
Welcome to Japan - Shows the four season. (season = kisetsu) and most descriptions are readable in English.
Visit to Japan - Interesting places suggest to us, foreigner if we go to Japan. Such as; temple, Osaka Castle, Tokyo, parks... ...

These are books on places and pictures taken for display. Books are based on Guide Books and I believe that it's all in Japanese Language altho some are translated in English.

Read for the description on Kimono

Tea Ceremony

What is Ikebana? (Ikebana = Flower Arrangement)

Popular Snacks made in Japan. (sign: please do not touch -_-)

I think those are Kabuki items...err Kabuki is another performance from Japan where they wear Mask. Especially for woman?

Left picture - Wooden Sandal and a lady.
Right picture - These toys are mainly played in old times in Japan but of course they still do and it's nice to keep the traditions on going and that they now still continue to make those goods.

These small items are maybe used for charm and also to us are omiyage(s).
Oh no, think those are more like key chains and phone straps ^^

More key chains xD

The study in Japan related books are for reference only, so you shouldn't be taking it home and it's useful for those who wanted to study in Japan. Well, I didn't have the time to read through it...was busy taking photo -__-
And the books on the right pictures are what I've got today and from the Japanese Speech Competition last year.
The one's distributed today is on the bottom 2 books...
One is on the food and one is on the History of Japan.

These are also reference on Learning Japanese Language.
They also contains comic and light novels with pictures with conversations for easy understanding.

I've still got Anime, Manga, Drama, J-pop and etc to post for tomorrow.
The day after tomorrow will be on Cosplay and Fashions.

Ps. sorry if wrong info's made here.
